Southport

The Grade II Listed Arcade, in which Rohan is situated, still maintains its position at the heart of Southport as an integral part of the town’s Victorian heritage. The arcade is just off Lord Street, the famous tree lined boulevard which is Southport’s unique retail centre and one of the many attractions for visitors.

Southport attracts over five million visitors per annum. This is partly due to traditional annual events, most notably the Flower Show which has a national profile. Southport regularly plays host to the Open Golf Championship at its Royal Birkdale Golf Club. In an area rich in golf courses, many of which have championship status, the sport is taken very seriously.

Southport also has an RSPB site which attracts birds to the wetlands and is approximately 2 miles from the town centre. Martin Mere Nature Reserve is located within 10 miles of the town and besides attracting many migratory birds, also has otters and beavers.
