Powerstation Gloves
Our Powerstation Gloves are self-heating winter gloves which take advantage of patented technology to give a sneaky heat boost in chilly conditions.
If you’ve ever used chemical hand-warmer packs, you’ll have a good idea how they feel. The heat is not as strong as with a chemical pack – but it’s far more evenly spread and much more controllable.
They’re particularly handy for inactive use in cool weather – they’re perfect, in fact, for the winter sports spectator.
The secret is the advanced ThermoKnit™ liner – it carries individual heating elements along each finger and thumb with the heat spreading right out to the fingertips. And the really clever thing is that it’s self-regulating. There’s no need to turn it “up or down” during the day – the gloves reach a safe, pre-set temperature (6.5 degrees above the body’s natural temperature) and maintain a constant level of warmth.
Each glove contains a small, rechargeable lithium ion battery which is located conveniently at the wrists – a single charge will last for three hours. Used intermittently, that’s enough for a full day.
Our Powerstation Gloves also incorporate our sophisticated Barricade™ technology - so they’re completely waterproof and extremely breathable.
The filling is made from our technical Insuloft™ wadding which is warm, light, soft and extremely quick drying.
For comfort, the gloves are lined with a high-quality, fast wicking and quick drying polyester fleece.
The outer is made from a robust 100% polyamide with high-quality leather palms for durability and grip.
Soft ‘nose wipes’ on the thumbs add a touch of luxury!
Adjustments at the cuffs and back of the palms seal out the elements and guarantee a snug, functional fit.
