Our minimalist Windshadow Jacket is aimed at experienced outdoor enthusiasts who recognise that breathability, rather than absolute waterproofness, is usually the key to comfort in the hills and that packability and portability are often more pertinent than complete protection.

Designed to work in a technical layering system, our Windshadow Jacket is totally windproof, more breathable than the most breathable waterproof, highly resistant to showers, ultra-lightweight and phenomenally packable.

It’s perfect for really active uses such as running and biking and it’s pretty much essential for serious trekking, backpacking or hill-walking. And, because of its understated appearance, it makes a great jacket for travel and general wear.

Made from a lightweight, closely-woven polyamide with a micro-ripstop construction and our Durable Water Repellency™ finish, it offers high levels of both abrasion and tear resistance and just enough rain protection to keep you dry if you’re caught in a shower.

Two zip-fastened hand pockets and a chest pocket offer sufficient storage space for outdoor essentials such as a compass or GPS. The large internal pocket doubles up as a Packpocket™ into which the whole jacket stuffs for convenient, compact storage.

The shoulder seams are slightly displaced towards the back to prevent any rubbing – a small detail but very welcome if you’re planning on carrying a rucksack for any length of time.

The hood features elasticated bindings for a close, comfortable seal and rolls away neatly into the collar when not in use.
