If you’re trekking, travelling, sight-seeing, shopping or, indeed, doing anything that involves the possibility of being outside in the rain, you’ll find our Escapist Jacket to be the perfect companion.
It’s totally waterproof, phenomenally breathable and, at only 560g, surprisingly light.
It takes advantage of our advanced Barricade™ waterproof membrane technology and features a Durable Water Repellency™ finish to stop the face fabric wetting out and maximise breathability. It’s a two-layer version with a tough polyamide outer and a cool, comfortable mesh liner.
Storage options include two mid-positioned hand pockets which are sited high to clear a rucksack hip-belt. They’re protected by double storm flaps.
The hood – which offers full protection in the worst weather – is a deconstructed version of our famously functional One-Pull™ concept. It adjusts, as you might expect, with a simple pull. You can cinch it down with additional no-flap drawcords.
The jacket features a waterproof front zip and a decent-sized chest pocket with a waterproof zip.
Adjustable cuffs and hem drawcords allow you to control the ventilation and fine-tune the fit.
Barricade™ Washing Instructions
Rohan Barricade™ waterproofs are easy to care for. Simply machine wash them at 40°C with a regular detergent. We recommend a second rinse to remove all traces of the detergent from the fabric. Don’t use fabric softeners or bleaching agents. Garments may be drip dried. Over time, the water repellent treatment on the surface of the fabric may become less effective and water will stop beading up on the outside of the jacket. Tumble drying on a warm, not hot, setting or careful ironing on the coolest setting will rejuvenate the finish.
