Ultra-light technical base layer for active use

Designed as a technical base layer for active sports, our Ultra Silver T is amazingly soft and supremely comfortable to wear.

It’s also unbelievably light – a medium weighs in at just 70g.

The secret is the fabric: it’s a high-specification polyester that’s been knitted with an incredible 66 gauge construction. For its weight, it’s surprisingly durable. It’s also reassuringly opaque. It can certainly be worn alone as a hot-weather top.

We’ve incorporated Polygiene™ into the blend – this is a clever, patented anti-microbial technology which employs ionic silver to inhibit the growth of micro-organisms and the associated build-up of odour. Basically, if you’re on a trek and laundry facilities are limited, you can wear it for ages without needing to wash it.

And, when you do decide to freshen it up, you’ll find it easy to wash – in the machine or by hand. Just rinse it through with travel wash and hang it up to dry. It’ll be ready to wear again the next morning – with absolutely no ironing required.

Needless to say, our Ultra Silver T ticks all the ‘performance boxes’ you’d expect from a technical base layer. It’s treated with our Dynamic Moisture Control™ finish so it’s incredibly high-wicking and dries in a flash. The smooth, slick fabric works extremely well layered underneath a fleece: there’s no friction and no restriction in freedom of movement.

It’s ideal for trekking, walking, biking and other active uses but it’ll also give good service as a general travel top – particularly in hot or humid conditions. You could even wear it as everyday underwear.
