We believe our Roamers are the most comfortable, best-fitting walking trousers you can buy. And lots of our most active customers seem to agree. They’re our best-selling women’s trousers – by a country mile.

And it’s no surprise.

They’re made from a sophisticated blend of polyamide and stretchy elastane so, naturally, they’re hard-wearing, tough and reassuringly durable. But they’re also light, highly breathable and supremely comfortable.

They’ve got a nice understated appearance too – they don’t look too ‘technical’. So, whilst they’ll go the distance on the toughest treks they don’t look or feel out of place when you’re bobbing around town or enjoying a meal in a posh country pub.

They feature two hand pockets and two security pockets – one inside the right-hand pocket and one in the left leg seam. They’re not large but they’re perfect for keeping small valuables and travel documents safe, secure and close at hand.

Essentially, Roamers are a mild-weather alternative to our hugely popular Striders and, though not quite as warm, they’re probably more versatile. If you’re walking in Britain from Spring through to Autumn, you’ll be hard-pressed to find a better choice. And if you can’t stretch to a second pair of trousers for the winter, layering our Roamers up with our Superfine Merino Leggings will extend their usefulness well into the colder months.

And if you’re wearing them in the high Summer, you’ll be pleased to know that the fabric offers total resistance to the harmful effects of UV radiation. Not absolutely essential in the UK but very nice to know if you’re planning a walking trip to Mallorca, Corsica or Morocco.
