Our customers and employees are keen to know if we can assist with the supply of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to the NHS.
Being a relatively small business, we don’t own any factories nor do we have any direct manufacturing capability under our control. We are however, in contact with a number of the factories that we use, who have turned production to PPE, and have been able to source and donate some protective masks to local hospitals. Our view is that large scale production is better through official channels and is the most efficient way for this essential kit to reach the NHS quickly - and we will continue to support our partner factories in this way.
Additionally, our excess fabric has been sorted and donated to the ‘Sew for the NHS’ charity; we have provided rucksacks for NHS resuscitation teams and easy-care outfits for Doctors to wear whilst attending their clinics.
These are small contributions within the overall situation but we are trying to support where we practically can and we continue to look at other ways we can help.
