Ian Palmer, Managing Director

Which is your favourite product from the new Spring Summer Range and why?
My current favourite product changes day by day, today as I write this, I’m enjoying a pair of the new District Chinos, a Portland Shirt and a Merino Jumper. Picking an ultimate favourite product from a season is a bit like picking my favourite of our 2 dogs. If pressed, for this season I’d say Fjell Vapour Jacket and Scrappy Nelson.

How do you keep yourself busy on a weekend?
Me & Andria have quite relaxing weekends. A bit of dog walking, a bit of TV (current favourites include Married at First Sight, The Apprentice and Inventing Anna). In Spring and summer we like to cook outdoors either on the BBQ or preferably the Morso outdoor wood fired oven.

If you had one day where you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go and what would you do?
Easy, Iceland. We went there for Andria’s birthday a few years ago and we were lucky to see the Northern Lights. We’d love to go back and explore some more

What is the most challenging part of your Role at the moment?
I’d say there isn’t a most challenging part. It’s the variety and combination of things that make it challenging. For example today has included conversations about people, trouser fabrics, marketplace integration, image specs for the web site, product range ideas for AW23 and I’ve reviewed and made amends to a contract for a new partner (oooh, and wrote this). I enjoy every single one of the conversations and meetings, but at times have to pause for a moment as I sit down and let my brain catch up with, what meeting I’ve walked in to, and focus on why I’m there. That’s both the challenge and the reason I love it here so much.

Karen Williams, Product Director

What does your job involve?
I have overall product responsibility from design through to the development of the styles, then buying and range merchandising and finally production and delivery. I also have responsibility for CSR

Your favourite walk:
The Rhinogs in North Wales which has great views north to Snowdonia and along the coast at Ceredigion Bay

Your favourite Rohan Product:
My favourite product always has to be the next new design and innovation concept we are working on!

Which is your favourite product from the new Spring Summer Range and why?
In my role I shouldn’t have a favourite product! They are all my favourites or they wouldn’t make the range selection. However, I really proud of how we’ve developed the Women’s Travel range to enhance the aesthetic, fit and colour to deliver stylish products with technical performance

How do you keep yourself busy on a weekend?
Walking, gardening and DIY

If you had one day where you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go and what would you do?
The Karakoram

What is the most challenging part of your Role at the moment?
There are still a lot of delays and backlogs with shipping so it’s a constantly changing scenario to manage the products arriving in time

Alex Delong, Design Manager

Which is your favourite product from the new Spring Summer Range and why?
My favourite pieces are the Zenith shirt and Vista trousers. The shirt is so lightweight and comfortable and also comes with two zip pockets! The trousers are perfect for long hikes in the hills during the warmer months, they are light and stretchy so give full freedom of movement.

How do you keep yourself busy on a weekend?
I try to spend my weekends with friends and family, the last couple of years have shown how important this is for me. I also try and be active – walking, running etc

If you had one day where you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go and what would you do?
I would go to South America, but it would be for more than a day! This is definitely on my bucket list – seeing the Torres del Paine National Park in Chile and also the Atacama Desert would be a particular highlight.

What is the most challenging part of your Role at the moment?
We are having to change and adapt our ways of working at the moment, being flexible to find the solutions needed for so many different situations. I think is the most challenging part!
