Rohan Brighton is in a prime location to explore the wonderful seaside resort town. This is a place that is brimming with cultural delights as well as hundreds of independent boutiques. When it comes to grabbing something to eat, there are many award-winning restaurants catering for all tastes, from classic fish 'n' chips to creative vegetarian restaurants."
Brighton’s a great base for a hiking break because the South Downs National Park is practically on the doorstep. It’s home to almost 2,000 miles of footpaths and rights of way you can explore. As soon as you arrive, you’ll see exactly why author Virginia Woolf once said that the South Downs left her “overcome by beauty more extravagantly than one could expect.”
There are so many routes to hike that you’ll be spoilt for choice. But, the South Downs Way is undoubtedly the most iconic. Stretching from Winchester in the west to the chalky cliffs of the Seven Sisters in the east, it’s almost 100 miles of pure bliss. Alternatively, you can enjoy a hike up to The Chattri, which is a monument to Indian soldiers from the First World War, or explore the beauty of The Living Coast.
If you’d rather stay in Brighton itself, try the spectacular Undercliff Walk. It only measures just over three miles, but it takes you past the cliffs of Brighton Marina and the Brighton & Hove city boundary. The views from the cliffs are simply stunning, so make sure you take your camera.
