This smart-casual, seersucker shirt has been treated with Insect Shield®, a fabric finish that converts a range of our classic easy care travel garments into long-lasting, effective and convenient insect protection.
Insect repellents are essential for travellers willing to venture into tropical and wetland regions. It works by reducing insect landings on the surface of your clothes. So, you can sit peacefully and watch the sunset, relax by the water’s edge or enjoy your evening meal without becoming one for a cloud of mosquitoes.
For when you’re active, the additional Dynamic Moisture Control finish will help to keep you cool and comfortable even in challenging conditions. The fabric will even help to guard you from the sun’s harmful UV rays offering a UPF 40+ Sun Protection rating.
Sun Protection Note
All Rohan garments carrying our sun protection icon have been tested in accordance with recognised international standards for ultraviolet radiation protection. Garments are awarded a rating of UPF 40+. Protection may be significantly reduced with extended wear or if the garment is stretched or wet. Any associated UV risks will vary according to individual skin type or medical history.

Low pack size is a benefit whether you’re packing for a day’s walking or for the trip of a lifetime. We continually scrutinise fabric specification and garment construction to minimise the packed size of our clothing. The actual pack size is tested and listed.
All Rohan clothing is designed to be very fast drying – as much a benefit for unexpected downpours as anything else. It’s easy to wash and often needs no ironing. Almost all garments will dry overnight, meaning you can take less with you. We test every item and list its drying time.
Insect Shield®
Insect Shield® technology converts clothing into convenient, comfortable and effective protection against biting insects. Each garment is treated with permethrin – an invisible and odourless ingredient that helps protect against insects such as mosquitoes, ticks, ants, flies, chiggers and midges.
Sun Protection UPF 40+
This garment has been tested in accordance with recognised international standards for ultraviolet radiation protection – and has been awarded a rating of UPF 40+. The protection offered may be significantly reduced with extended wear or if the garment is stretched or wet. Any associated UV risks will vary according to individual skin type or medical history.
Dynamic Moisture Control™
DMC™ is a wicking treatment that rapidly spreads the moisture our bodies create across the surface area of a garment. This can be achieved through the technical construction of the garment or by a performance coating and ensures that the garment dries more quickly, encourages evaporative heat loss and helps you stay cooler and more comfortable for longer.

Summer perfect
After six months in Keilders, time to freshen up the wardrobe for Summer temperatures. My first Sentry has proved the go to shirt for the Med, perfect partner to the aptly named Riviera trousers. The pattern of very subtle small check is a welcome change from Rohan giant checks of late. The fabric has a slightly crumpled finish, keeps it casual. The buttons are certainly a tight fit. My only niggle is the pen-slot of the pocket, which has a deviant diagonal line of stitching (which you can even see in the Rohan screenshot, mine is the same), prevents any pen from entering. the pen slot. Other than that small detail, a perfect summer shirt.
Rohan Men's Sentry Shirt
Comfortable, simple style, lightweight and very packable. Had the style for a few years now [Let's hope they keep it going].
Find the buttons very tight to start with but prefer that as some Rohan old styles had been guilty of becoming too loose as they age - and spontaneously coming undone.
Perfect go to shirt
This is the most versatile shirt I have come across and own about four of different patterns. The material feels cool in the summer but warm enough to wear under a jumper or fleece in colder weather. They look great too and of course are easy to wash and never need ironing. A shirt of this quality at sale prices is a great buy.

Great value, I now have 4 Sentry shirts, all different colours which I’ve bought in Rohan sales. I love this style of shirt, so versatile, now my favourite for business meetings, working outside or trekking. Thank you for making superb clothes.
Mens Sentry Shirt
I have bought several of these over the past few years. Apart from the high price I have been pleased with them.
My most recent purchase of said shirt has made me question my continued support of Rohan. Presumably to save costs in manufacture the shirt is now shorter, by some 2 centimetres, than my previous purchases.
Not a major issue when it comes to wearing the shirt, but no corresponding reduction in price, needless to say.
I am starting to feel a little peeved!
Excellent smart casual shirt
Excellent smart casual shirt For hot weather especially when insects may be troublesome. Washes and dries very very easily in a hotel room so you can carry less. Could do with a zipped ticket pocket. Otherwise excellent. I have two. Slim fit smartens it without being too tight.
