Multiflex Light™ is made up of a polyamide and elastane blend that offers impressive durability whilst still providing a soft finish and excellent stretch. The addition of Dynamic Moisture Control™ means you’ll stay dry and comfortable even if you start working up a sweat, and with a UPF 40+ Sun Protection* rating you’ll stay safe from the sun on your next hot-weather trek.
Each panel of the Fleet Trousers have been ergonomically designed to fit perfectly around the body. We’ve included a super stretchy waistband, an adjustable draw cord at the front, and we’ve made them as low profile as possible to avoid irritation. All of these elements have been designed to offer exceptional comfort to make long, strenuous treks as easy as possible.
The Fleet Trousers make traveling light and unencumbered simple. With a low weight and with a Packpocket™ built in, they fold away really small giving you plenty of space for everything else you might need.
These trousers are really easy to care for, you can wash them in the machine, in the sink or even in a brook if you happen to be out camping, and they’ll dry in just a few hours. We’ve also included an anti-scuff hem to keep the trousers looking their best, and three zipped security pockets so there’s plenty of space for keeping your phone, wallet or keys secure.
*A Note on Sun Protection
All Rohan garments that feature a UPF 40+ Sun Protection rating have been tested in accordance with recognised international standards for ultraviolet radiation protection. Garments are awarded a rating of UPF 40+. Protection may be significantly reduced with extended wear or if the garment is stretched or wet. Any associated UV risks will vary according to individual skin type or medical history.

We were the original lightweight revolutionaries. Back in the 1970’s we realised that cutting weight without losing performance meant that you can take less and do more. Everything we make is engineered to achieve this.
Low pack size is a benefit whether you’re packing for a day’s walking or for the trip of a lifetime. We continually scrutinise fabric specification and garment construction to minimise the packed size of our clothing. The actual pack size is tested and listed.
All Rohan clothing is designed to be very fast drying – as much a benefit for unexpected downpours as anything else. It’s easy to wash and often needs no ironing. Almost all garments will dry overnight, meaning you can take less with you. We test every item and list its drying time.
Clever design is more often than not about what to take off rather than what to put on. It’s about giving one feature multiple functions. That’s why many of our garments feature a Packpocket™. This handy addition converts pockets into space-saving storage by compressing the garment into itself. You could use it as a travel pillow when it’s all packed down too.

DMC™ is a wicking treatment that rapidly spreads the moisture our bodies create across the surface area of a garment. This can be achieved through the technical construction of the garment or by a performance coating and ensures that the garment dries more quickly, encourages evaporative heat loss and helps you stay cooler and more comfortable for longer.

Having now worn these trousers for several days I'm as disappointed in these, as the other Rohan trousers i have with a largely elasticated waist (Troggings). The Fleet trousers are a very stylish and comfortable fit, but with a few issues..
1. the elasticated waist band is far too elasticated / the sizing is too generous. I bought the same 36W as i've bought for many years (8+ pairs of Rohan trousers), but i have to pull the drawstring very tightly to stand any chance of the trousers staying put; in fact adding a wallet , car key and mobile phone means they start to slip down. There is far too much elastic section for the given waist size. Trying to gather even more on the drawstring leads to the front of the trousers bunching up , looking ill fitting. I had exactly the same issue with Troggings, and almost immediately bought a second pair in a smaller 34" waist band which proved to be much better (and ample room at the waist etc)
2. the rubberised tag for the rear pocket zipper is on the inside (as its designed for the pack pocket) - this leaves a relatively small metal zipper tab on the outside face when worn. I would have prefered a more obvious tag on the outside for ease of use.
A real shame, as the general style /cut of the trousers is modern and easily fits a daily / casual wear requirement.
What a great piece of gear! Light with great 4 way stretch and most critically the stretchy waistband which means there is room for my expansion. It also gives a great fit and the draw cord inside the trouser gives them extra feel. I also like the anti-scuff tape on the leg hems which give the end of the trousers a bit of shape as well as for the job they were designed for. The pockets are great and easy to open. The rear pocket is the Packpocket is disguised a little which is great, though how one ever packs the whole trousers into it is anyone's guess.
