Practical smart trousers, perfect for a busy lifestyle.
Made from a soft, lightweight stretch fabric, these smart trousers are the ideal choice for the man with a demanding lifestyle.
Great for work or travel, their relaxed comfortable fit coupled with a discreet elasticated panel on the waistband provides day-long comfort without making you look too casual or underdressed.
They’re easy to wash, easy care and crease resistant too, so you won’t have to worry about trying to squeeze a travel iron into your luggage.
On the front there’s two hand pockets, one of which has a concealed zipped pocket inside, and on the rear, there are two buttoned pockets - plenty of carry options for your phone, credit card or a bit of ‘walk around’ cash.
Comfortable enough for a dress down Friday, smart enough for a Monday management meeting. It's the Rohan way to do business.
*A Note on Sun Protection
All Rohan garments which carry our sun protection icon, have been tested in accordance with recognised international standards for ultraviolet radiation protection. As a guide to the level of protection offered to covered areas, garments are awarded a rating of UPF 40+. Protection may be significantly reduced with extended wear or if the garment is stretched or wet; the reduction of associated health risks will vary with other factors such as skin type or individual medical history.
65% polyester, 30% viscose, 5% elastane.
We pioneered the testing of fabric for UV penetration in the UK over fifteen years ago. The health risks are now, of course, more widely recognised. All Rohan fabrics for hot weather, that carry the sun icon, are tested for their Ultraviolet Protection Factor and rated UPF 40+.
Pocket science at Rohan is all about precision and detail of design, but most of all, it’s about keeping your most important stuff safe at times when losing keys, passports and wallet is more than just an inconvenience. We use several different methods – whichever is the most appropriate. Some pockets are completely hidden with micro zips, some are touch and close with roll-over tops and some are high quality zips.
Building stretch into our fabrics offers some big advantages. It allows us to make very comfortable, streamlined clothing. And a close fit has big advantages for active people. Clothes don’t flap in the wind, they work well in a layering system without bulking up and because there is less fabric, they are lighter, dry quicker and pack smaller – all critical Rohan virtues.
We were the original lightweight revolutionaries. Back in the 1970’s we realised that cutting weight without losing performance meant that you can take less and do more. Everything we make is engineered to achieve this.
Low pack size is a benefit whether you’re packing for a day’s walking or for the trip of a lifetime. We continually scrutinise fabric specification and garment construction to minimise the packed size of our clothing. The actual pack size is tested and listed.
All Rohan clothing is designed to be very fast drying – as much a benefit for unexpected downpours as anything else. It’s easy to wash and often needs no ironing. Almost all garments will dry overnight, meaning you can take less with you. We test every item and list its drying time.

I went into my local Rohan store to purchase a pair of Hometowns this last week. Loved the material and the fit from the waist to the knees. However, there is not enough material around the calves. Back in the day they would have been classed as 'drainpipe trousers'. I don't consider my calves to be exceptionally over muscled, but the trousers were far too tight in that area. I've been wearing Rohan gear since the mid 80s and this is the first time I've experienced disappointment with the fit of a garment. It's a real shame. They were just what I wanted.
Of all the Rohan range of clothes these trousers are one of the big disappointments. I originally bought a 36" waist on-line but found they were tight so have had to go up to a 38", when all my other Rohan trousers are either 34" or 36". My new Amblers and GOBIs are 36" so why is the size different? Have had to buy a Rohan Woven Stretch Belt (which is very good) to make them wearable. My 36" Transit trousers are a much nicer pair of "smarter" trousers.
My favourite trousers. Hard wearing, light, comfortable, easy to clean, a good fit. I recommend them.
I'm actually on my 3rd pair of these (I had 2 pairs, lost weight and had to buy a smaller size!). They are amazingly comfortable all day in the office but also survive the bike-ride or walking commute too. They always look smart and fit really nicely. If I do get caught in a shower, they dry really quickly and look none-the-worse for it. They also wash well and need no ironing!
There’s no such thing as bad weather, only unsuitable clothing. Rohan is your constant companion for every journey, whatever the journey.
