This ‘Harrington’ inspired jacket offers much more than just classic styling – beneath the outer layer hides a fully waterproof, breathable lining for protection from the elements.Read more…
Not everybody wants to look like they’re about to climb K2 when they are on a drizzly commute or a having stroll on one of those in-between days. But everyone wants a waterproof to work when the heavens open.
Our Dry Delta Jacket not only looks good, it also does its job when the time comes.
The outer of the jacket is made from a tough, stretchy polyamide treated with Durable Water Repellency™ to shrug off any light rain showers. Hidden beneath the surface though, we have also added a fully waterproof and windproof lining to help you stay bone dry.
The hem, cuffs and hood are all fully adjustable so you can fine tune the fit and batten down the hatches if the wind picks up.
Should you wish to, you can remove the hood entirely, and, like other jackets in the Rohan range we've taken to care to ensure there’s no unsightly zip track left at the back of the neck. Just tuck the zip under the self-fabric channel and no one would ever know it was there.
95% polyamide and 5% elastane outer with 100% polyester waterproof Barricade™ membrane technology lining.
Pack Size: 3,000ml
Drying Time: 9 hours
Cutting down windchill can make more difference to your comfort and safety than the amount of insulation you are wearing. Garments that carry this icon are Highly Wind Resistant.
Wet clothing transmits body heat nearly twenty-five times faster than dry. All clothing with this symbol is guaranteed to be totally waterproof. And highly breathable membrane technology means that you won’t get wet from inside either.
Pocket science at Rohan is all about precision and detail of design, but most of all, it’s about keeping your most important stuff safe at times when losing keys, passports and wallet is more than just an inconvenience. We use several different methods – whichever is the most appropriate. Some pockets are completely hidden with micro zips, some are touch and close with roll-over tops and some are high quality zips.
Building stretch into our fabrics offers some big advantages. It allows us to make very comfortable, streamlined clothing. And a close fit has big advantages for active people. Clothes don’t flap in the wind, they work well in a layering system without bulking up and because there is less fabric, they are lighter, dry quicker and pack smaller – all critical Rohan virtues.
Conventional waterproof fabrics cannot adapt to the changing weather outside and the changing micro-climate inside. Barricade™ is different, it is dynamic and responds to your body temperature and the humidity of the surrounding environment. The sweatier and steamier things get inside, the better the membrane works and the more vapour escapes.
Our durable water resistant finish, which forces water droplets to ‘bead up’ and run off the outside of the jacket, is designed to remain at 80% efficiency – even after 20 washes.
We were the original lightweight revolutionaries. Back in the 1970’s we realised that cutting weight without losing performance meant that you can take less and do more. Everything we make is engineered to achieve this.
Low pack size is a benefit whether you’re packing for a day’s walking or for the trip of a lifetime. We continually scrutinise fabric specification and garment construction to minimise the packed size of our clothing. The actual pack size is tested and listed.
All Rohan clothing is designed to be very fast drying – as much a benefit for unexpected downpours as anything else. It’s easy to wash and often needs no ironing. Almost all garments will dry overnight, meaning you can take less with you. We test every item and list its drying time.

Have bought many Rohan items over the past but this is the first that has disappointed. Bought a large as that is my standard Rohan size, but this is a bit too snug yet has sleeves long enough for an Orangutan. The material feels stretchy though and is light. Only one popper fastener on the sleeves and the front zipper flap has no fastener other than a popper at the bottom and one at the top, so it lives up to its name in the slightest breeze.. a flap! At least it was in the sale, perhaps the design is why.
Good quality as expected, useful zipped pockets. This jacket would receive 5 stars were it not for the over long sleeves, I have to use the cuff studs everytime I wear it otherwise my hands are virtually enveloped.
The navy version is my first choice for 8 months of the year. Less keen on the sandstone colour. Kept me dry on umpteen occasions and receive compliments about its smartness. Why 4 stars? The inside pocket has to remain zipped as being vertical the contents fall out!!! Also I have found that if worn over a short sleeve T-shirt my arms have sometimes felt sweaty.
The jacket cuffs are not adjustable. Ie just one poper. The hood is too large and the storm flap on the front has a poper at the bottom and two on the top, in winds it glaps open for rain to get under it
I’ve long favoured Harrington jackets, in fact I have a couple of Barracutas in the collection but the Rohan treatment makes the Dry Delta even more versatile.
Breathable, lightweight and totally waterproof, the two Deltas I have are in use more than the conventional versions.
My only criticism is that I miss a second zippable interior pocket or better still the trademark Rohan hidden external chest height zip pocket, this is also something irritatingly missing from too many of the lighter weight Rohan jackets these days.
Also, the hood adjusts from the rear which is fiddly and there is no storage for it when detached which is somewhat inconvenient as it’s large and floppy when attached and not in use.
