Tilleys Airflo® Broad Brim hat is the perfect summer hat with the highest UPF rating of 50+ for maximum sun protection. Whilst the strong broad brim around the hat effectively shades the face in sun light for further protection. This is excellent for treks in the open sun, however Durable Water Repellency™ has also got you covered in case of those unpredictable British showers.
A ¾” mesh lining around the crown of the head has been incorporated for high breathability and ventilation. If that wasn’t already an incredibly amount of protection this hat also has a hydrofi® sweatband to help wick moisture away.
Featuring a hidden zipped compartment to store your valuable items such as cash or card. An adjustable wind cord system at the front and back of the hat for a sturdy fit in gusty conditions and if you happen come into contact with water then this hat will act as a buoyancy and stay afloat. Perfect for multiple activities in a range of conditions.

Durable Water Repellency
Our DWR finish is an advanced treatment which dramatically increases the water repellency of our fabrics. On its own, it offers a useful level of shower resistance; used in conjunction with our Barricade technology, it reduces the tendency of the face fabric to wet out and maximizes breathability.

Sun Protection UPF 40+
This garment has been tested in accordance with recognised international standards for ultraviolet radiation protection – and has been awarded a rating of UPF 40+. The protection offered may be significantly reduced with extended wear or if the garment is stretched or wet. Any associated UV risks will vary according to individual skin type or medical history.
