Read more…The Pioneer Shorts feature an adjustable and removable webbing belt, large functional pockets that allow you to carry all essentials needed on any trip. There are three external zipped security pockets to hold all of your important valuables, one of which has a concealed Tri-ring for your keys or accessories. They also have two large drop-in pockets on the thighs for maximum storage.
Made using an advanced blend of strong Polyamide and stretchy Elastane, offering an unbeatable combination of freedom of movement and great long-term durability and comfort. This modern fusion of fibres are combined with Dynamic Moisture Control, a wicking treatment for enhanced breathability, keeps you feeling cool and comfortable even in hot and humid conditions.
Insect Shield® technology provides long-lasting, effective and convenient insect protection against most pesky bugs. It's bonded tightly to the fabric fibres and will retain its effectiveness throughout the life of the product.

Insect Shield® technology converts clothing into convenient, comfortable and effective protection against biting insects. Each Insect Shield® - labelled garment is treated with Permethrin – an invisible and odourless treatment which protects against insects such as mosquitoes, ticks, ants, flies, chiggers and midges. The treatment is so tightly bonded to the fabric fibres that it retains effectiveness through the expected life of the product – well beyond the limits of most fabric treatments.

Nicest shorts I've owned

My Review of Men’s Pioneer Shorts
This is my first pair of shorts from Rohan and I’m not disappointed.
They fit me well (size 34 reg), they have ample cargo style pocketry and they’re not too high above the knee, just right. I wondered about the absence of a central waist button, but soon realised the alternative press stud fastener to be a comfort plus in warmer weather. Very satisfied with this purchase.
Wowsa, The Future Is Here....
Wowsa, the future is here with the Rohan Pioneer collection. They have reached the top of their game with these shorts and equivalent Pioneer trousers.
As expected these have Insect Shield, Dynamic Moisture Control, 40+ sun protection, Easy care, Lightweight, Packable, Quick drying and Tri-ring inside left external pocket.
In addition they are extremely comfortable and hard wearing. The zipped pocket easily holds my large mobile phone. These shorts are my go to every day trousers whether I'm walking in the New Forest or travelling and they are now in my top five favorite Rohan products.
I purchased these from Linda in the Lymington Store. Linda is old school with her product knowledge, customer care & efficiency. She is a credit to Rohan.
