Made from a technical blend of polyester and elastane, our Dalby Shirt is cosy, hard-wearing and extremely quick drying. It’s also luxuriously comfortable to wear.
The addition of stretchy elastane to the blend adds flexibility and freedom of movement and helps the shirt to retain its shape and eliminates any unsightly creasing.
The Dalby Shirt is simplicity itself to care for: just rinse it in a hotel basin or throw it in the washing machine. Hang it up and it’ll dry overnight, ready to go again the next morning – with absolutely no ironing required.
This classic button shirt features one chest pockets, a pen slot and adjustable cuffs with button fastenings. Perfect for a smart-casual look.

We were the original lightweight revolutionaries. Back in the 1970’s we realised that cutting weight without losing performance meant that you can take less and do more. Everything we make is engineered to achieve this.
Low pack size is a benefit whether you’re packing for a day’s walking or for the trip of a lifetime. We continually scrutinise fabric specification and garment construction to minimise the packed size of our clothing. The actual pack size is tested and listed.
All Rohan clothing is designed to be very fast drying – as much a benefit for unexpected downpours as anything else. It’s easy to wash and often needs no ironing. Almost all garments will dry overnight, meaning you can take less with you. We test every item and list its drying time.
Taking its inspiration from the composition of reindeer fur, our Thermocore™ fabric is made from polyester filaments – with a hollow core. And it’s this hollow core that’s the secret to Thermocore’s incredible insulating properties. Dry air has a tiny thermal conductivity – 24 times less than water – and our Thermocore™ fabric simply traps more of it than an ordinary, solid fibre. And if it’s good enough for reindeer…

I now have three of them - all the current offerings! So yes I like them! Comfortable because of the added stretch I suppose. Just a nice shirt. As i wrote previous I am not 100% convinced by the white buttons - darker colour to blend in would be my preference. And because its a check again my wife thinks they all look the same - a plain black or plain blue would be a good addition.
Great shirt wonderful material - only one problem - it has a very small pocket ! The pocket isn't deep enough to fit my iPhone in, it needs to be at least an inch deeper then it would be a perfect.
Like a previous reviewer, I got this shirt as my all-time favourite Bridgeport is no longer available. The Dalby is comfortable and warm, and the stretch fabric is cosier than the Bridgeport. It isn’t as smart casual, and the lack of a button down collar means that the collar can get a bit wayward, but otherwise a good shirt, except that it is described as having two pockets. The second pocket is in fact a slender “pen” pocket sown down the side of the single breast pocket. It is so slender that I can’t get my usual pens into it, but it is useful for parking sunglasses. I am rather disillusioned that Rohan have marketed this as a two pocket shirt, shame on you. I think the Bridgeport was more honestly described as a having a single pocket with a handy pen pocket.
I occasionally get annoyed when Rohan discontinues a clothing line I particularly like. That happened with the Bridgeport shirt, a personal favorite (light flannel that was very comfortable and warm). I finally gave in and bought the shirt Rohan replaced it with, the Dalby. I couldn't be happier. It has just enough added elasticity for increased comfort, and the material is even warmer for its weight than the Bridgeport shirt was. The Dalby quickly became my favorite cool/cold weather shirt (which covers fall through spring in the northern climate where I live). I bought another one in this winter's sale. This really is an excellent product, and I recommend it.
After buying an earlier none stretch version of the Dalby shirt I’ve purchased two more as, when out walking in cold weather for around 5 hours using a waterproof jacket and carrying a rucksack. I don’t get a cold wet back sensation on removing my rucksack for tea and sandwich . The shirt is a slim fit but stretch version is more comfortable
The medium shirt Navy/White Check is fine - really comfortable and fits as it should for a casual shirt; just an updated version of the earlier Crosscheck shirt with the same Thermocore content. Not 100% convinced by the white buttons - darker colour to blend in would be my preference. I have only had it one day so no idea as to how it washes etc as yet. It looks so much better (in my opinion) than the Hudson shirt with those patch pockets. My only other slight criticism is that it only comes in check form - a plain black or plain blue would be a good addition. I bought it in the sale which makes me feel even better!
