We were the original lightweight revolutionaries. Back in the 1970’s we realised that cutting weight without losing performance meant that you can take less and do more. Everything we make is engineered to achieve this.
Low pack size is a benefit whether you’re packing for a day’s walking or for the trip of a lifetime. We continually scrutinise fabric specification and garment construction to minimise the packed size of our clothing. The actual pack size is tested and listed.
All Rohan clothing is designed to be very fast drying – as much a benefit for unexpected downpours as anything else. It’s easy to wash and often needs no ironing. Almost all garments will dry overnight, meaning you can take less with you. We test every item and list its drying time.
Merino Fusion blends merino wool, nature’s finest technical material, with advanced synthetics to create a best of both world’s fabric. It’s antimicrobial, odour-inhibiting, temperature regulating, high-wicking and breathable. It’s also easy to wash – by hand or in the machine. The addition of polyamide and elastane to the blend increases durability, reduces drying times and adds a forgiving amount of stretch.

My husband loves his merino jacket so much he has bought another one so he can alternate them.
Received this as a B/day present and couldn't be happier, it fits perfectly, it's warm when needed and regulates my temp if I'm starting to get too hot when walking/hiking, it's also perfect for casual evening wear when going to the pub or restaurant.
I am a great fan of Rohan's merino programme, and this is no exception. I have had mine for a High Peak lockdown winter. It is thin but warm on its own and layers nicely on top of other woolies (merino of course) and/or under a Rohan rain jacket. Think downtown Kyoto in winter: want to be warm when looking at temples and gardens but nice and tidy when you sit down to eat a kai-seki dinner. MIne is in XXL and has washed nicely (with Woolite).
I have a previous version in blue. Its really nice & very smart & warm. Not cheap, but very good quality. I'd recommend it
I bought extra large x2: fits me, as I am indeed extra large... Under a decent waterproof, it's amazingly warm. Being mostly merino wool, it keeps you warm when wet. On my list as dam good kit.
