We’ve included Insuloft™ wadding on all of the core areas of the body – across the front, back and tops of the arms. We’ve then used super stretchy panelling along the underside of the arms and the side of the body for an ergonomic fit. Not only does this add a nice contrasting element, but most importantly it provides an excellent warmth-to-weight ratio and unimpeded freedom of movement in a lightweight summer jacket.
The polyamide and Durable Water Repellency™ outer adds an excellent level of protection from showers and gives it a hard-wearing finish. Plus the stretch binding at the hem and cuffs will protect you from any brisk winds. You’ll find this jacket is ideal when you don’t know what the weather is playing at.
We’ve scrutinised every detail of the Fuse Jacket to provide the lightest weight and smallest pack size possible. To do this we’ve sourced a zipper that is 20% lighter than our usual zips for the front opening and hand pockets. We’ve also included a handy Packpocket™ in one of the two pockets, so you can store your jacket away in the bottom of your bag ready for when you need it.
As usual with Rohan, the Fuse Jacket is really easy to care for and will easily wash in the machine or by hand and dry with barely any creases in just a few hours.

Insuloft is an advanced synthetic wadding that offers a better warmth-to-weight ratio than polyester fleece and better performance when wet than conventional down. It’s durable, compressible, lightweight, easy to wash and fast drying – it’s the perfect choice for cold-weather protection.
Durable Water Repellency
Our DWR finish is an advanced treatment which dramatically increases the water repellency of our fabrics. On its own, it offers a useful level of shower resistance; used in conjunction with our Barricade technology, it reduces the tendency of the face fabric to wet out and maximizes breathability.
Packpocket™
Clever design is more often than not about what to take off rather than what to put on. It’s about giving one feature multiple functions. That’s why many of our garments feature a Packpocket™. This handy addition converts pockets into space-saving storage by compressing the garment into itself. You could use it as a travel pillow when it’s all packed down too.

Fuse jacket fits the bill
Bought in the winter sale so good value, used under waterproof jacket for insulation in freezing conditions when walking & cycling, easy to pack away and keep in pocket if required. Great when golfing as stretch side panels allow flexibility. Good on own as an outer layer, would be even better if Rohan put a discreet reflective strip or edging on outer garments to improve visibility for all outdoor activities to improve safety for wearers.
Fuse jacket review
This is a lovely comfortable and practical lightweight jacket, with one proviso. After only a few wears, the pilling on the arms and around the pocket area is really quite noticeable. After some investigation I have now removed the little tags attached to the pocket zips which feel quite abrasive and I am hoping that this will solve the problem. However I now realise that pilling is also occurring where my rucksack straps rub against my arms. I’m surprised that Rohan do not test fabrics for this sort of wear and tear.
More than just a summer jacket
The jacket is billed as a summer jacket, but it works equally well in the winter by fitting nicely under a hard or soft shell for extra warmth. Also, although not mentioned in the product description, there is a 3rd pocket (stretch mesh) on the inside of the jacket. Very comfortable and surprisingly warm for such a lightweight jacket. Bought on sale so especially happy!
Great new versatile jacket
This was even better on than it looked in the photograph. It is a lovely soft material and a great fit. I bought this for walking between seasons but it is nice enough to wear out sight seeing. It is also thin enough to go under waterproofs to give an extra layer. I haven't had it long enough to say whether I have the same problem with piling as another reviewer as found. I bought this on the off chance in the sale as it was good value but I think it is going to be one of my favourite and most used jackets!
Womens Fuse jacket in red
I've had this useful jacket for a few months now. It's windproof, shower resistant and fits well. It looks good apart from where the stretchy panels are showing signs of pilling.
It is not as warm as an overall insulated jacket but if it's 6 degrees and you are walking fast it's ideal. Then it packs away nicely if it gets warmer.

Yes I have lots of different jackets, yes I already have a Rohan one or two, this is my new favourite. It is so lightweight and flexible in use. As a top layer or underlayer on waterproofs. Tested the shower proofing last week, really good,
Review of Women's Fuse Jacket
This jacket is absolutely fabulous. It works great as a windproof jacket on its own, as it has stretchy side panels it will also fit over a lightweight fleece for extra warmth. I was caught in a very sharp Scottish shower and the water repellency kept me dry. Being so lightweight it is also great as an extra cozy layer under waterproofs now the weather is getting colder. So versatile, love it.
lightweight packable jacket
Had this for a few weeks, loving it. Very comfortable, lightweight and packable. Great to take with me just in case needed. Have worn in windy weather, light rain showers.
Women's Fuse Jacmet
This jacket is beautifully soft, light and very comfortable to wear. It shuns a decent rain shower and is warm without being clammy. I got the burnt orange and liked it so much I have now added the carbon colour to my large collection of Rohan clothes !
