The technical blend of fibres gives this shirt its four way stretch allowing for complete freedom of movement. It’s also naturally high-wicking, so the moisture is quickly moved away from the skin and dispersed to the surface where it can be evaporated, giving this shirt its cooling feel.
The cut is in a classic fit, not too loose but also not overly fitted, with easy popper closures down the front and on the adjustable roll up sleeves.
This durable shirt is also really easy to care for and is happily washed in the machine or by hand. Its quick dry time means you can hang it up overnight using the built in DryLoops™ and it will be ready to go again by morning – handy if you’re on a multi-day hike with limited bag space and washing facilities.
Fabric:
Spring Blue Check: 92% polyamide, 6% elastane, 2% polyester; Titanium/Acai Purple Check: 89% polyamide, 6% elastane, 5% polyester
We were the original lightweight revolutionaries. Back in the 1970’s we realised that cutting weight without losing performance meant that you can take less and do more. Everything we make is engineered to achieve this.
Low pack size is a benefit whether you’re packing for a day’s walking or for the trip of a lifetime. We continually scrutinise fabric specification and garment construction to minimise the packed size of our clothing. The actual pack size is tested and listed.
All Rohan clothing is designed to be very fast drying – as much a benefit for unexpected downpours as anything else. It’s easy to wash and often needs no ironing. Almost all garments will dry overnight, meaning you can take less with you. We test every item and list its drying time.

Love the colour, style and fabric but hate the poppers. It turns the shirt from something that could go from day to night - walk to restaurant to one that is just for walking. The reason being is the front looks all pulled with the poppers - I fasten it up then pull both ends so it looks better, still not right but buttons would just make it sublime. The versatility aspect is important for me and becomes especially so when on a walking holiday when you have to take a small clothing allowance. Can we start a campaign to bring back those buttons as this always seems to happen on the popper shirts, which I now tend not to buy - just thought I would try one again but alas.
I bought two of these shirts earlier in the year and am about to buy another in the sale. They are light and comfortable to wear and wash well. I usually don't bother to iron them and they look fine on. I wish that they were a little longer in the body - I am 5ft 6ins, so not exceptionally tall. I have no problems with the press studs. My only gripe is the label and the loops in the side seams. They scratch like mad (maybe I have sensitive skin) and I think I am going to have to cut them out. But on balance a good purchase with which I am pleased.
A lovely comfortable shirt which fits well. As others have said a concealed pocket would have been good in the side seam. With a side pocket I would have given it 5 stars. (Past shirts had a good sized side pocket with concealed zip, rather than the later central pocket).
So comfortable that I have just ordered another from the 'offers'. Excellent value as an offer and can be recommended.
Good colours, good fit and good material, comfy to wear easy to care for, love poppers - BUT - big BUT no pockets. As a client of Rohan almost forever. a key signature feature has been hidden secure pockets within the design. An outdoor clothing company - making a shirt to trek/ramble in - who would not need pockets? I didn't think to read the specs (my bad) - kept the shirt as can still use it but not for treks - but its versatility - indeed its purpose just went out the window - such a big flaw (in my opinion) it dropped 2 stars.
I have had this shirt a few months. The slight stretch makes it really comfortable and the fit is good. Unlike other reviewers, I love the poppers and they have never come undone when they shouldn't. I like having no chest pockets as they are not flattering on women's garments. A hidden seam pocket might be useful. Only one drawback for me, odour control is poor and I have to wash the shirt too often. Only good value because purchased as a sale item
I bought this shirt specifically because of previous negative reviews about the snap poppers. As someone with less than nimble fingers I have been frustrated that over the last few years womens shirts are being designed with smaller & smaller buttons & buttonholes. It sometimes takes me 5 mins to do & undo them. The snap poppers are great for me to adapt the shirt in almost an instant. However I hadn't noticed that it had no pockets - a real drawback in my opinion and the reason for only 3 stars - otherwise I would have bought another one.
The shirt length is fine for me but I'm quite short 5ft 1in and normally find Rohan clothing too long - even the short fitting.
On a more positive note I really like the material & pattern.
The shirt is made of comfortable material and fits OK. Unfortunately the click buttons are not very effective and keep popping open, both on the sleeve and at the front. And this is definitely NOT because the shirt is tight fitting! Very disappointing, and makes the shirt awkward to wear.
I love the pattern / colour / fabric - all is good. BUT the poppers are really annoying. Fine on the cuffs - easy to undo / do up and the sleeves roll up with a strap / popper config to keep them out of the way. The poppers though down the front are, in my view, a poor design. If you catch your shirt on something the whole shirt pops undone! Slightly embarrassing. This would be perfect if it had proper buttons down the front.
Also, it could do with being a tad longer. It looks and feels great untucked. But if you're wearing it tucked in, it's hard to keep it that way if you're reaching upwards which can be irritating.
I bought it in the sale but wouldn't have paid full price for it.
