Made from a sophisticated blend of Polyamide and stretchy Elastane so, naturally, they’re tough, wind resistant and durable. But they’re also light, highly breathable and supremely comfortable, making the Winter Roamers perfect walking attire.
A warm brushed fleece lining is one of the features for the Winter Roamers. Providing you with extreme warmth.
Not only are they the most comfortable walking trousers but they are also the most functional. Featuring two discrete zip pockets to keep valuables safe and two drop in hand pockets. Fantastic fit and comfort is increased with a stretch waist band.
A rear hem anti-scuff tape has been incorporated into the design of the hems where your Winter Roamers meet your walking shoes. This protects the garment from scuffing so the trousers not only remain intact and looking great but also to increase the longevity.
They’ve got a nice, understated appearance too - they don’t look too ‘technical’. So, whilst they’ll go the distance on the toughest treks they don’t look or feel out of place when you’re bobbing around town or enjoying a meal in a posh country pub.

Low pack size is a benefit whether you’re packing for a day’s walking or for the trip of a lifetime. We continually scrutinise fabric specification and garment construction to minimise the packed size of our clothing. The actual pack size is tested and listed.
All Rohan clothing is designed to be very fast drying – as much a benefit for unexpected downpours as anything else. It’s easy to wash and often needs no ironing. Almost all garments will dry overnight, meaning you can take less with you. We test every item and list its drying time.

Winter Roamers
Comfortable go-to Winter trousers with a warm lining. I really feel the cold having lived mostly on an island in the Pacific and I love that there’s room inside these for a pair of leggings on really cold days, without them being a baggy fit. They do take longer to dry than most Rohan products but as I now have 4 pairs, that’s not a big problem.
Winter Roamers- why no stretch waist band?
I have 2 pairs of the summer roamers, both size 10 and both a decent fit. I assumed the winter roamers would be the same. Unfortunately the waistband has no stretch in it which makes them just that tiny bit too tight. The next size up would be huge. Why not add stretch to these? Makes walking trousers so much more comfortable. Such a shame as they would have been a great addition to my walking wardrobe.
Zip pockets useless
I just got these expecting they would be like the 4 pairs of regular and dry roamers I have. Alas the zip pockets are now too small to be of any use. I have a small phone but it doesn't begin to fit into either pocket. I'm afraid you've lost the plot and sacrificed usefulness for looks. I really don't care how trim they look. I need trousers that keep phone and card case secure while climbing over styles etc. I can't count on these. Sorry, they're going back tomorrow.
Women’s winter roamers
These trousers are ideal for cycling an hour to work in frost. And no need to change clothes on arrival. I am happy that I bought numerous Rohan trousers before brexit as Rohan now cannot deliver to Denmark!
Women's winter roamers are a comfortable fit
Winter roamers are back to being a comfortable fit. These are comfortable with room to sit down or climb over stiles. I would be happy to buy these again. A good fit, nice pockets and simple styling means I am happy to wear them literally all the time in the winter and not just for walking. My jeans hardly get worn now, as these are more comfortable for working from home.
Best winter trousers
Bought a pair a few years ago and been very happy with them. They fit perfectly, are lovely and warm, look smart and wash great. Just bought another pair and I am absolutely delighted to see that they are still the same, fabulous quality and great fit.
Brilliant for winter
These are wonderful in winter - very comfortable, and cosy in cold weather. I got one pair two or three years ago, and had been waiting for Rohan to do them in navy. They do wash and dry quickly, but it's useful to have a second pair.
Excellent trouser - Bad sizing
I absolutely swear by these trousers. I have not had anything else like them and they are my staple for winter. However, the sizing changed on the last pair I bought - they fit everywhere but about half an inch has been taken out of the waist band meaning an 8 is too small but the 10 fits more like a 12. Dreadful issues with rohan sizing - there is little in the way of trousers I can buy anymore. I keep complaining and I wish they'd do something to sort this problem. I've had to abandon jeans, walking trousers that have all been "improved" ie they no longer fit!!!!! Would have lots more product if they fit but sizing is getting worse and more impossible - very sadly.
