It’s made from a blend of sophisticated technical fibres that have been ‘Vortex’ spun to provide long-term durability and excellent retention – basically it’ll never pill, fade or lose its shape. It just keeps going – year after year.
By adding Anti Odour Silver technology, the Global T can benefit from the natural antimicrobial properties of silver. Tiny traces of silver, distributed evenly throughout, inhibit the growth of bacteria which in turn reduces odour and mould, not only keeping you feeling and smelling fresh, but reducing the need for washing and extending the life of the T.
This permanent treatment has been stringently tested by the International Antimicrobial Council and has been proven to provide 99.5% of antimicrobial properties even after 50 washes.
The addition of a Dynamic Moisture Control wicking finish adds extra breathability to the fabric keeping you feeling cool and comfortable by rapidly dispersing moisture away from the body and across the surface of the fabric to be evaporated.
This dual technology works fantastically together, keeping you feeling cool, comfortable and smell-free all day. It’s a great option for warm-weather trekking and travel, but also as a base layer under warmer top layers during active hiking or walking in cold-weather conditions.
As usual with Rohan, the Global T is really easy to wash – in the machine or by hand – and will comfortably dry overnight, so it’ll be ready to wear again the next morning, with no ironing required.

Low pack size is a benefit whether you’re packing for a day’s walking or for the trip of a lifetime. We continually scrutinise fabric specification and garment construction to minimise the packed size of our clothing. The actual pack size is tested and listed.
Fast Drying - Drying Time: 3 hours
All Rohan clothing is designed to be very fast drying – as much a benefit for unexpected downpours as anything else. It’s easy to wash and often needs no ironing. Almost all garments will dry overnight, meaning you can take less with you. We test every item and list its drying time.

Great travel tee
I have 2 of the short-sleeved and 2 of the long-sleeved, three of which are from earlier seasons. I have the white that many have complained about because of the black tag at back--but I don't see it myself, so not too much of a worry. On warm days, the fabric remains light and cool, and the tee dries very quickly. I do find the current colours a bit drab, and would love some jewel tones, but the tees themselves are excellent. In jewel tones, I would buy many more and would make them my only travel shirts. I am 5'7" and the length is just right for me.

Review of the global T shirts
I have bought several of these over the years. In the winter they are ideal as a base layer under thicker woolly jumpers. This means I wash the quick drying, light, thin, comfortable global T-shirts after one wear , and it reduces the number of times I have to wash the heavy, slow to dry woolly jumpers ( we do not own a tumble dryer -save the planet and our electricity bills.) They do dry very quickly. I also have some long sleeved for the same reason. They last even after many, many washes. I only wish that Rohan would do a better range of colours more suitable for everyday wear. I appreciate they are an outdoor brand, but the bright duster yellow etc are not suitable for my purposes.

Sizing wrong
I have many Essence t-shirts which I love. Size 14 fits me perfectly. I bought a Global medium which is too snug and eventually I gave it away. I tried a large which is not quite right. As you have reduced the number of sizes it is inevitable that many customers will not be happy.

The Black Label

I have a wardrobe full of Rohan but this T shirt did nothing for me (maybe white isn’t my colour). I purchased the size 12 and normally this size works for me but this was baggy around the middle and at the bottom (it fitted fine around the shoulders). I do wish Rohan would do more slash neck. This T shirt looked so ordinary. Will return...sorry

Yellow one is now my favourite T shirt
I previously reviewed my purchase before I had worn and washed the t shirt. I kept the yellow one and it washed very well. It is a good weight for hot days and is comfortable to wear. (Always wash my Rohan clothing at 30 degrees in a protective bag.) I have upped my rating of the Global T!

Review of Women's Global T
Not purchased any more, as I am in-between sizes. I have one medium size which is rather a neat fit and I feel self-conscious wearing it without another layer on top, and large is too baggy. Please bring back the normal ladies clothing sizes as I may need to renew my collection of Essence T-shirts at some point.

The perfect T shirt. Great shape, light and breathable material which doesn’t need ironing. Great for walking and hiking but also great as a summer T shirt. Washes well.

Fabric is thin
I loved the Essence T shirt and this looks similar, but the material is thin so the white one in particular is too see-through for me and I will return it. Additionally I bought the yellow one - I love the colour, but the shoulders do not fit as well as the Essence T and the seam sits too far back on the shoulder, so a bit disappointed. Bring back the Essence T! I noted the thinner material previously, but noticed the rear black rubbery label on the inside shows through the thin material. Maybe it doesn't matter as it is on the back, but it does seem disappointing for Rohan.

global T
I have bought one of these or the older models every year, I wear them under my microgrid tops in the winter and by themselves in summer, never wear out. I have every one of this years colours and numerous from previous years. I have been a Rohan customer since 1985
