Its primary use is as a mid-layer, working in conjunction with a waterproof jacket or overhead to provide plenty of warmth and protection from the wind and rain. However this versatile piece would also work fantastically with a base layer on dry days.
As well as providing ample stretch, the technical fabric is also high-wicking ensuring you stay dry no matter how active you get, and with the high collar providing wind protection and the thumbholes providing greater coverage and warmth, the Latitude Zip Neck Top is an optimal cold-weather, active wear, mid-layer piece.
Unlike most fleeces, the Latitude Zip Neck Top has the soft brushed back fabric on the interior against the skin making it incredibly soft and comfortable to wear, but thanks to the grid pattern it’s still very breathable and lightweight.
There are two easy access secure hand pockets, and a half zip neck which allows some welcome fresh air if you get a bit warm when you’re out and about. The raglan sleeve design also provides great freedom of movement so if you find yourself scrambling over rocks you won’t be held back by your top.
As always with Rohan, the Latitude Zip Neck Top is very easy to care for and will be fine on a quick spin in the washing machine or equally washed by hand, and will dry comfortably overnight – the perfect choice for multi-day hiking trips.

Latitude top
Lovely top. Very nicely made with good zip pockets and zip at neck opening. Only problem was that the small is nearer a medium. Small used to fit perfectly but a little on the larger size now with longer sleeves than before.
Latitude women's top
Lovely warm comfortable top, I am tall and it fits perfectly in the sleeves and body . I bought the orange one last year and now after another!
Nice winter top
I bought this top in the sale because I wanted a warmer layer for winter walking. It’s a lovely top, comfortable and warm. I would normally buy a medium but for the winter I bought a large so that I could put more layers underneath. It is a bit big all round but the sleeves are very long. I have long arms and normally sleeves tend to be shortish but not in this case! I don’t mind too much as it’s a really good top.
Better than a fleece
Spent a while deciding to order this and so glad I did. Its soft, has great pockets, perfect with all they grey trousers I've bought this season. Only wish I had bought the red too when it was in my size.
LATITUDE TOP
I received this as a gift which is one reason I am keeping it. It is the usual good quality expected from Rohan and Titanium colour is lovely, but, as another reviewer remarked, not really supersoft. I should have preferred the Stowaway microrib but this is no longer made in zipped necked version. It will be lovely and warm in winter and even for coolish summer nights. However my main gripe is that Rohan are no longer making XS sizes. This top is on the large size for me but will be fine when it gets colder as I shall have room to fit a few layers underneath but I won't be buying any thinner tops or tee shirts anymore as size small is too big. This is a great disappointment as I buy a lot of Rohan clothes for leisure, travel and everyday wear. I am not particularly small, generally a size 8 in clothing so please don't get rid of size 8 in trousers!
Good but not for size 8 women
I initially wrote a positive review of this. However, despite my recommendations I am returning it because of the sizing. This is fine if you are nearer a 12 . Originally I was going to keep but I don't think I shall wear it. It is long both in the body and In the sleeves. Shame because I did like it and looked good under my waterproof. Rohan PLEASE! PLEASE bring back size XS !!!

This is a great little fleece but super soft is a bit of an overstatement. It feels quite rigid but this will certainly withstand the cold.
