Using a blend of technical fibres with high quality linen gives the Malay Jacket its travel staple status. Unlike normal linen, our Performance Linen™ is very easy to care for. It won’t shrink, fade or lose its shape even after continued wear and washing. It’s also been tested and approved to be crease resistant, so it won’t need ironing – ideal if you’ve stuffed it in your luggage and want to wear it on your first night out.
We’ve kept the Malay Jacket unlined to reduce bulk and weight, and to maximise comfort and breathability. It will feel wonderfully cool. It also gives it a small pack size – perfect if you’re travelling with just your hand luggage.
We’ve updated the collar by giving the Malay Jacket a smart lapel for a classic look which gives it great versatility. It will easily take you from day to night – use it to smarten up jeans and a T or match it with a smarter pair of trousers or over the top of a dress for a great work-to-dinner outfit.
There’s two external patch pockets, with one featuring a discreetly concealed zipped security pocket to keep hotel key card or credit cards safe.

All Rohan clothing is designed to be very fast drying – as much a benefit for unexpected downpours as anything else. It’s easy to wash and often needs no ironing. Almost all garments will dry overnight, meaning you can take less with you. We test every item and list its drying time.
