Made with a technical blend of fibres to provide a soft yet durable finish with high breathability and excellent moisture management – the Shoreline Top is a great choice for year round style.Read more…
Polyester, lyocell and elastane make up the Shoreline Top with each giving it its distinct benefits for a truly comfortable, smart-casual top.
Polyester in the blend gives the Shoreline Top its rugged durability. Despite its soft feel and casual style, this is a technical top that wouldn’t shy away from some light activity, especially with the addition of the Dynamic Moisture Control™ which ensures you stay dry and comfortable by moving the moisture away from the body to the surface of the fabric for quicker evaporation.
The super soft feel comes down to the lyocell. This sustainable material is made from wood pulp and is an impressive natural fibre with a host of technical benefits. It’s highly breathable and offers excellent moisture control by transporting moisture away from the body, complementing the work of the Dynamic Moisture Control™ finish. It also has excellent durability and flexibility enhancing the properties of the other fibres.
Finally, elastane gives the Shoreline Top its stretch for excellent freedom of movement and shape retention. This helps to keep the top from pilling after wash and wear, as well as making it really comfortable for a full day of sightseeing, working or traveling.
This technical blend gives the Shoreline Top plenty of easycare functionality. It will happily take a spin in the washing machine, has a quick dry time and will require little to no ironing.
The Shoreline Top is cut in a classic long sleeved T style with a scooped neck and a straight hem that makes it incredibly versatile. It’s also really lightweight and will pack away small which makes it great for travel.
83% polyester, 11% lyocell, 6% elastane with Dynamic Moisture Control™
We were the original lightweight revolutionaries. Back in the 1970’s we realised that cutting weight without losing performance meant that you can take less and do more. Everything we make is engineered to achieve this.
Low pack size is a benefit whether you’re packing for a day’s walking or for the trip of a lifetime. We continually scrutinise fabric specification and garment construction to minimise the packed size of our clothing. The actual pack size is tested and listed.
All Rohan clothing is designed to be very fast drying – as much a benefit for unexpected downpours as anything else. It’s easy to wash and often needs no ironing. Almost all garments will dry overnight, meaning you can take less with you. We test every item and list its drying time.

Love these tops. Unlike other reviewers, I don’t find them too clingy or see-through. A flattering shape, lightweight and easy to layer up, great base layer and a useful summer top for here in Scotland. I have three now. Useful for everyday wear as well as walking and cycling. I bought a size up so not too clingy but still fits well.
I have a couple of these tops in the old, cotton-feel fabric, and I really don’t like the new fabric. It’s too thin and clingy and does not look good on a less-than-perfect figure. The huge black sewn-in label irritates the skin on the back on the neck and shows through the lighter coloured fabrics. I managed to unpick it and remove it without damaging the fabric, but it was a difficult job and I don’t expect to need to removed badly designed labels when paying Rohan prices! I won’t be buying from this range again unless the fabric is changed.
I have three of these tops in different colours, and find the soft stretchiness very comfortable to wear. However, the small size is quite neat, and the medium much too big! Unlike "Picky Old Lady", I like the label, and don't find it obtrusive. With this one there's no chance of it causing irritation, which previous labels sometimes do. There's a small loop for hanging anyway, so I don't see the problem.
I have 5 of these tops which I find very versatile and comfortable. My husband says they are attractive and they look good with hiking trousers or jeans in the evening. When the weather was warmer, I wore them alone under a lightweight Rohan waterproof, and now it is colder I layer up with one or two mid layers on top and a waterproof. They wick moisture really well, so even when I get sweaty, I never feel damp against my skin. They are quite clingy, but that makes them work well as a base. If you prefer something a bit looser then I would suggest sizing up. Overall, I prefer them to the old stria and strata tops.
I really love the feel and look of the Shoreline top.
It’s thinner than other tops I’ve bought from Rohan but feels great against my skin. Great top for layering.
Love it and am ordering another colour
I bought three of these, lilac, navy and chambray. They are the usual style I have been buying for years, so had hoped for something a bit different. The fabric is lightweight so it’s more of a summer top. What is really disappointing is the dreadful new labels just below the neckline. The old labels could be used for hanging and were invisible from the outside, but these are huge square things, no good for hanging, and there are two ugly lines of stitching 4cms long right through the back of the garment. I will try to unpick one but I think it will leave holes. This is a cheap and nasty innovation on clothes of this price, so Rohan, please think again.
Have lots of lovely Rohan tops. Was saving this for special occasion. Lovel the colour and like the style. However, the material this time round is so thin that underwear and trouser line are clearly visible. Disappointing as I’ll need to wear something underneath.
Great properties, fab colour and verstaile. Okay, I'll order the pretty pink too at that price!
