    The Frostpoint Vest is essential for winter due to its durable outer construction made with Insuloft wadding offering unrivalled warmth to weight right where you need it. This is the key to winter outdoor exploring such as hikes and treks.

    60g of Insuloft™ R-XE wadding has been included on the front and back of the Frostpoint Vest to offer core warmth to the body. This soft wadding is ideal for wearing as a mid-layer underneath a shell or as a top layer over a long sleeve t shirt for added warmth and comfort. This is an essential piece for cold, windy and harsh climates, providing you with a first layer of warmth and protection.

    The outer is made using soft Polyamide blended with Elastane to create a strong, lightweight and tough quality, which is great for exploring a variety of outside surroundings. The Elastane gives this garment flexibility, stretch and freedom of movement so you can easily move around for a more enjoyable hike with nothing holding you back.

    Durable Water Repellency finish has also been incorporated onto the outer fabric of the Frostpoint Vest. This is an advanced treatment on the material which provides excellent protection against showers as well as proving a hard wearing quality. This is great for unexpected showers and drizzly weather conditions, especially when worn solely. However, only the areas the vest covers will be protected.

    The Frostpoint Vest has two internal mesh stash pockets, one of which has an elastic synch closure and doubles up as a Packpocket - in order for you to store your vest in a compact bag of its own ready for whenever you need it on your travels.

    Two zipped hand pockets with added Microfleece on either side of the jacket hold your belongings, maps or a place to warm up your hands. An internal chest pocket features on the inside of the garment to protect and hold your valuables.

    Microfleece is also used to line the collar and chin guard for maximum comfort and protection against the wind, rain and cold.

    The Frostpoint Vest is a key garment for warmth to the body on cold days. Perfect for layering for maximum comfort but also have the added benefit that it also serves well as a top layer over a top.

Packable - Pack Size 1100ml

Low pack size is a benefit whether you’re packing for a day’s walking or for the trip of a lifetime. We continually scrutinise fabric specification and garment construction to minimise the packed size of our clothing. The actual pack size is tested and listed.

Fast Drying - Drying Time 8 hours

All Rohan clothing is designed to be very fast drying – as much a benefit for unexpected downpours as anything else. It’s easy to wash and often needs no ironing. Almost all garments will dry overnight, meaning you can take less with you. We test every item and list its drying time.

  • Durable Water Repellency

    Our DWR finish is an advanced treatment which dramatically increases the water repellency of our fabrics. On its own, it offers a useful level of shower resistance; used in conjunction with our Barricade technology, it reduces the tendency of the face fabric to wet out and maximizes breathability.

  • Packpocket

    Clever design is more often than not about what to take off rather than what to put on. It’s about giving one feature multiple functions. That’s why many of our garments feature a Packpocket. This handy addition converts pockets into space-saving storage by compressing the garment into itself. You could use it as a travel pillow when it’s all packed down too.

  • Insuloft

    Insuloft is an advanced synthetic wadding that offers a better warmth-to-weight ratio than polyester fleece and better performance when wet than conventional down. It’s durable, compressible, lightweight, easy to wash and fast drying – it’s the perfect choice for cold-weather protection.

  • Secure Pockets

    Losing possessions when you’re close to home is frustrating, but losing your car keys, passport, phone or wallet while you’re travelling can really spoil your adventure. That’s why we put lots of thought into developing safer pockets – deeper, zipped and hidden.
