To form our innovative 2-Layer Barricade Standard, the outer fabric is bonded with the internal breathable membrane, then lined with taffeta and mesh for your added comfort.

This stylish and practical jacket includes an adjustable hood that will protect you from those unexpected summer showers. In addition, the jacket has two zipped pockets at waist height for ease of use, should you need to grab those essentials and an adjustable hem and cuffs allowing you to personalise the fit to suit your needs. The Farne Jacket includes the 2- Layer Barricade Standard. Three key areas determine the Barricade Standard; Membrane Water Resistance, Membrane Breathability and, lastly, Garment Construction. To achieve this standard, all our waterproofs use Hydrophilic Monolithic membranes, more commonly recognised as PU (Polyurethane) membranes and are fully seam-sealed.
The Farne Jacket is treated with a DWR finish that boosts the fabric's water repellency, forcing water droplets to 'bead up' and run off the outside of the material, maintaining its effectiveness, making it a perfect addition to your wardrobe.

Low pack size is a benefit whether you’re packing for a day’s walking or for the trip of a lifetime. We continually scrutinise fabric specification and garment construction to minimise the packed size of our clothing. The actual pack size is tested and listed.
Fast Drying - Drying Time: 8 hours
All Rohan clothing is designed to be very fast drying – as much a benefit for unexpected downpours as anything else. It’s easy to wash and often needs no ironing. Almost all garments will dry overnight, meaning you can take less with you. We test every item and list its drying time.
Durable Water Repellency
Our DWR finish is an advanced treatment which dramatically increases the water repellency of our fabrics. On its own, it offers a useful level of shower resistance; used in conjunction with our Barricade technology, it reduces the tendency of the face fabric to wet out and maximizes breathability.

2-Layer Barricade
The Barricade standard gives you reassurance of a high level of waterproof protection. All of our waterproofs must meet our Barricade Standard to be ten times the British standard for waterproofing.
The waterproof fabric of the garment has two layers. The water-repellent outer fabric and the PU hydrophilic membrane are bonded together. In addition, a loose lining protects the membrane from the inside.

Lovely lightweight jacket
Very pleased with my purchase. Lovely bright red colour that cheers up a wet day. Not too long, just over bottom. Two outside pockets but none inside. Would have liked a phone pocket. Good deep hood with adjustable toggles.
