    The Nimbus Jacket is the perfect low-bulk addition to your more active adventures. It’s our lightest-weight jacket in the range so far, weighing in at only 90grams and packing down into its Packpocket to fit easily in your day pack.

    This protective outer layer has been coated in our Durable Water Repellency (DWR) finish, so you’ll be protected if you’re ever caught in a quick, unexpected shower. Further protection comes from the windproof fabric that, despite being soft to touch, has a nylon ripstop construction for tough durability that’ll withstand your active lifestyle.

    Carefully placed, stripped-back features help keep the weight down on this lightweight jacket; a single adjuster at the hem and elasticated cuffs mean that in the blusteriest weather, you can batten down the hatches and keep the wind out. Great for layering over a long-sleeved, wicking base layer or fleece, this is the outer layer for all seasons.

We were the original lightweight revolutionaries. Back in the 1970’s we realised that cutting weight without losing performance meant that you can take less and do more. Everything we make is engineered to achieve this.

Packable - Pack Size 200ml

Low pack size is a benefit whether you’re packing for a day’s walking or for the trip of a lifetime. We continually scrutinise fabric specification and garment construction to minimise the packed size of our clothing. The actual pack size is tested and listed.

Fast Drying - Drying Time 3 hours

All Rohan clothing is designed to be very fast drying – as much a benefit for unexpected downpours as anything else. It’s easy to wash and often needs no ironing. Almost all garments will dry overnight, meaning you can take less with you. We test every item and list its drying time.

  • Durable Water Repellency

    Our DWR finish is an advanced treatment which dramatically increases the water repellency of our fabrics. On its own, it offers a useful level of shower resistance; used in conjunction with our Barricade technology, it reduces the tendency of the face fabric to wet out and maximizes breathability.

  • Packpocket

    Clever design is more often than not about what to take off rather than what to put on. It’s about giving one feature multiple functions. That’s why many of our garments feature a Packpocket. This handy addition converts pockets into space-saving storage by compressing the garment into itself. You could use it as a travel pillow when it’s all packed down too.
