A season inspired by shifting light, colder journeys, and the spirit of adventure.
Drawing from the beauty of Northern Scandinavian landscapes, this collection explores the contrast between warmth and cold, light and shadow, movement and stillness.
Designed for the journey ahead, our Autumn/Winter ‘25 collection draws on over 50 years of innovation with a forward-thinking approach to performance, colour, and layering, whether you’re staying local, or heading somewhere far and beyond this season.
Rohan's Design Manager, Alex Delong, tells us about the upcoming Autumn/Winter '25 collection and what inspired the range.

Themes of the Autumn/Winter '25 Range:
The Traveller
Inspired by journeys to the far north, including the remote beauty of Scandinavia, we’ve thought about where our customers will be going, what they’ll be doing, and what they’ll be seeing in those environments.
The AW25 range is shaped by real-world experiences, whether it’s our own, or those of our community. Through personal journeys, customer stories, and the feedback we’ve received, we’ve built a collection that understands what it means to travel during the winter months. To stay warm, dry, and comfortable, without compromising on performance, or style.
Colour
The idea of luminous heat, warmth, and light quickly became a core design influence. In the depths on winter, light becomes one of our most important resources, not just for vision, but for communication, safety, and travel. We’ve thought hard about the role light and shadow plays in our environment, and how it manipulates the experiences we have in spaces. This relationship between light and shadow has guided both the colour palette and material choices, from how fabrics respond in low light, to how colours shift and interact with their surroundings.
Metameric colours, those that appear differently under different lighting conditions, bring a sense of movement and mood to the collection, while core shades allow for layering across styles, genders, and functions. It’s a colour story that mirrors the experience of the great outdoors in wintertime. Beautiful, complex, and constantly changing.
Blue Hour
At the heart of this season’s colour palette is the phenomenon in Northern Scandinavia known as ‘Blue Hour’. Blue Hour is where the sun disappears below the horizon for long periods of time, after sunset, or before sunrise, casting the landscape in a surreal dusky blue light. This happens due to the way the sunlight interacts with the atmosphere. During this time, light bounces off snow covered areas, and amplifies the cool tones, creating a blue glow.
It’s a unique atmosphere where colours feel more alive, reminding us that winter isn’t all dark, inspiring us to keep palettes bright and colourful.
What's New?
With a new season comes new thinking, and Autumn/Winter ‘25 is full of thoughtful updates that reflect the evolving needs of outdoor enthusiasts.
One of the most exciting developments this season, is the introduction of our brand-new Loungewear range, designed for the moments in between. Whether you’re resting after a long hike or gym day, planning your next adventure, or setting off on a long-haul flight, this collection offers comfort without compromise. Designed with soft fabrics ideal for recovery, travel, and everything in between.
This season also reflects our ongoing commitment to our customers’ needs. We’ve taken on board valuable feedback around hood fit and features, and you’ll see those improvements in our Women’s Harbour Coat.
We’ve focused on creating a more fluid and adaptable layering system, with core colourways across Men’s and Women’s styles.
Carefully Crafted for Exploration
Designed with forward-thinking innovations and technologies, the AW25 range ensures you thrive even during winter’s most demanding conditions. From fully waterproof Rohan Barricade™ fabrics that deliver reliable waterproofing and breathability, to recycled fabrics that perform exceptionally in cold environments, and windproof fabrics with intelligent venting for temperature regulation, every element has been carefully considered.
Every product, colour palette, and technical detail is developed entirely in house by our team at Head Office. This mirrors the approach taken in 1972 when Paul and Sarah Howcroft first began designing in Skipton, Yorkshire. Their founding principle was simple, the product must perform, it must be comfortable, and it must stand up to the demands of real use. That same mindset guides us today.
It is a meticulous process that can take up to two years from first concept to the final product launch. Functionality sits at the core of each piece, with features like armpit zips for ventilation, glove-friendly adjusters for ease of use in the cold, and well-considered pocketing, from secure zip pockets to generous stash compartments. Whether you are facing sleet, snow, or sharp winter winds, this range is built to keep you warm, dry, and moving freely.
For Life Outdoors, Wherever it Takes You
This season is all about embracing new adventures, whether they’re just beyond your doorstep, or deep into winter landscapes across the globe. Each of our ranges is designed with our core principles in mind: protective, lightweight, packable, easy care and versatile. This approach, and constant innovation ensures that you’re ready for whatever the colder months bring your way. Whether you’re hiking frosty trails in the Peak District or even heading off to Finland for a husky-sledding expedition, this collection is built to perform. Each piece has been carefully designed, reviewed, and gone through our wear testing process, to ensure ultimate support, comfort, adaptability, and true protection in winter environments.
This range sets a tone for a new chapter for Rohan. A chapter that embraces the changing light, the shift in the seasons, and helps us to prepare for what’s ahead. This isn’t just a collection shaped by weather, it’s shaped by movement, by experiences, by people who live life outdoors. From considered design updates, to brand new categories, it’s a range that reflects where we’ve come from, and where we’re headed next.
