Made By Rohan, Worn By You - Liz's Story
Meet Liz and her timeless Rohan adventure.
As part of our ongoing mission to showcase your incredible journeys and experiences through our new series: ‘Made by Rohan, Worn by You’, we’re thrilled to introduce you to the next star of the series. Meet Liz, one of our incredible customers who has been part of the Rohan family for decades.
Durability Around the World
Liz’s journey with Rohan is a testament to the durability and timeless appeal of our clothing. Her Rohan gear has been her faithful companion through countless adventures, standing the test of time and proving its reliability year after year.
From exploring the beaches in South Africa and cycling around France to scuba diving and skiing around the world, Liz and her partner Paul have trusted Rohan through it all.
Liz’s Travel Timeline:
1997-2002
Liz Started buying Rohan in 1997, where she bought a Red Universal Explorer Jacket which she is still wearing now. In 2002 Liz went on a Scuba Diving trip to South Africa and Mozambique (Pictured: Both Liz and her partner Paul wearing Rohan).
"The following 6 or 7 years were all about scuba diving around the world and skiing. Paul often seen in his favourite Rohan travel shirts. We had ¼ zip tops under our ski gear but no photos of them! I think Paul has had every colour of the ¼ zip microgrid tops except a green one once which I thought wasn’t ‘him."
2005-2006
These years were filled with adventures from treks with Liz’s walking group in Cornwall, to travelling the world to Egypt and Tobago. Throughout Liz and her partners adventures, they relied on Rohan to assist in their journeys.
2009
2009 was a big year for adventure for Paul and Liz, including cycle touring around France wearing Rohan throughout. This year also celebrated a close ones 30th Birthday Trip to Turkey where Paul and Liz lived for a year in 1978 and where their twin boys came from.
Liz also celebrated her 60th Birthday diving in Bonnaire, where they were surprised by their twin son’s at Amsterdam airport.
2011-2014
In 2011 the couple celebrated Paul’s 60th Birthday trip in Tanzania, South Africa. Liz wore her Linen Style trousers at the Ngorongoro Crater, whilst Paul wore a full Rohan outfit. A few years later in 2014 Liz and Paul brought a motorhome and headed off on more adventures. They also visited Blarney Castle in Ireland repping Rohan on their travels.
2016
2016 bought a 9-week tour of the USA, stretching to over 11,000 miles. Starting at St Austell Station, they visited Chicago, Niagara Falls, Washington DC and Route 66.
2020 - 2021
In 2020, Liz went to New Zealand with Paul where they indulged in an array of activities including camping and cycling. They spent the lockdown on a campsite for 9 weeks after a 2 week start on South Island. Pictured you can see the couple on their cycling trip wearing Rohan.
In 2021, Liz and Paul travelled closer to home heading to the Derbyshire Peaks. ‘Paul also really like’s the Rohan Cool Silver Briefs – ‘They're great for travelling as they wash and dry quickly!’
