Made from a blend of cotton and advanced modern synthetics, they’re lightweight and luxuriously comfortable to wear.
The addition of Coolmax® polyester and Thermolite® technology to the blend adds temperature regulating properties to the jeans – essentially, when it’s hot, they’re a bit cooler. And when it’s cold, they’re a bit warmer.
Nice to have all the time – but really handy when you’re travelling through different climate zones and rapidly-changing weather conditions.
The addition of stretchy elastane to the blend offers flexibility and freedom of movement – as well as great shape recovery.
A total of seven pockets in total. Two front hand pockets, one internal ‘hook-and-loop’ closed internal pocket, a credit card sized pocket at the waistband, two rear patch pockets and a hidden, zipped pocket on the yoke seam.
Needless to say, our Advance Jeans are easy to care for. Just throw them in the washing machine – or rinse them in a hotel basin – they’ll dry overnight and be ready to go again the next morning. With absolutely no ironing required.
This impressive, and rather clever, blend of natural and synthetic fibres has been designed to provide the most comfortable, durable, versatile and functional pair of jeans you’ll ever own.
Perfect for travel – and ideal for everyday wear.

We were the original lightweight revolutionaries. Back in the 1970’s we realised that cutting weight without losing performance meant that you can take less and do more. Everything we make is engineered to achieve this.
Low pack size is a benefit whether you’re packing for a day’s walking or for the trip of a lifetime. We continually scrutinise fabric specification and garment construction to minimise the packed size of our clothing. The actual pack size is tested and listed.
All Rohan clothing is designed to be very fast drying – as much a benefit for unexpected downpours as anything else. It’s easy to wash and often needs no ironing. Almost all garments will dry overnight, meaning you can take less with you. We test every item and list its drying time.
Losing the odd bit or bob when you’re close to home is rarely an issue, but losing car hire keys, passport, phone or wallet becomes more important than ever in a far off land. That’s why lots of thought goes into safer pockets – deeper, zipped and hidden.

I like the jeans from the comfort aspect due to the stretch in the fabric, the fit is great and they are lightweight.
Really love Rohan clothing and these jeans are a really good quality and great fit
Extremely comfortable and a great fit. Fashions and cut of trousers vary over the years; I am not a fan of skinny fit trousers at all and am very pleased to report that these are a GREAT fit. I love 'em. In fact I immediately bought a second pair just oi I could be assured of having a pair available for some years to come!
I like these jeans since they are comfortable from the get go, unlike most jeans. The stretchiness of the fabric helps to accommodate changes in size during the day
So impressed with a pair of these that I purchased a few months ago that I bought another pair. They are so comfortable and practical. Many pockets make them ideal for travelling. They are warm enough in winter and surprisingly cool when I was travelling in the heat of Africa. Highly recommend these smart looking casual jeans.
I'm a 32 regular and I found these jeans generally too baggy. I have a pair of the now defunct Newtown jeans with the tapered leg which suit me much better. It's a mater of personal taste of course, but I returned mine.
The Advanced jeans are excellent quality and a good fit. Unlike some reviewers I am an elderly gentleman and do not like spray on jeans. These jeans are not baggy but also not too tight so fit well.
Impressed with these - very comfortable and look just like normal jeans. Extra pockets including a hidden one at the back. Great value at sale price.
Hi seen the rather mixed reviews of this product and hesitated before I bought them , one for me and one for my wife in the woman's sale .
On receipt very happy indeed. I have struggled to find jeans that don't look too baggy . I have a pair of Levi 514s and they are about it that actually ft and they are close to the end of their life . I'm 5ft 8 , and usually take a short 30 inch trouser in either 38 or 40 depending on the cut . I got 40S to be sure and they fit fine , currently working at losing the covid curves but they will , be fine with a belt . Love the stretchy feel and the weight of the materials is exactly what I expected from a denim type . I'll not be trekking over mountains in these ( who treks in jeans ) but they will be my everyday day and they will be used also for travel .
My wife says she is thrilled because the 16 s works brilliantly for her she is 5ft 1 and a bit ( the bit is very important to her ) and the S is about 2 ins too long but looks fine turned up . Are we satisfied? Yes, to the extent that the fit is so good for both of us we have just ordered another pair each .
I currently have 4 pairs of jeans in use, Rohan Classic, Rohan Jeans Plus, Prana Breathe (a brand popular with rock climbers) and a pair from Sainsbury (yes really). All are great. These Advance Jeans don’t feel like jeans to me. Very thick, and without the clear denim look of the other Rohan models. Maybe (like jeans typically do) they would improve after multiple washes. But I certainly wouldn’t describe them as “lightweight”.
I'm also an over-60, so don't want to look like mutton dresses as lamb, but I applaud Rohan for trying to adapt to a more contemporary style in its trousers and jeans: my 10-year-old Rohans sure are comfortable, but the legs are just a bit too wide to be even remotely in-fashion/contemporary, and I now seek out a slimmer leg profile from Rohan and elsewhere. Rohan has to appeal to a broader market than 'us' to thrive, and if they had not tightened up the leg styling in particular, I for one would probably have stopped buying. Now to these jeans: not as tight as other recent trouser/jeans, but still an acceptably slim profile, so hopefully will suit the majority of customers. Four stars for now because I have only just bought them in the sale and the initial fit, feel and quality seems good.
For someone who runs hot, these are definitely winter jeans. A looser fit than previous Rohan jeans but certainly not baggy. 32S fits me perfectly round the waist (some 32 inch trousers can be tight on me) but they are just a little longer in the leg than expected. I can just about get away without turning them up, but usually Rohan’s trouser length is spot on for me. Comfortable to wear and pleased with my purchase. Like other reviewers I do however wish the classics hadn’t been discontinued.
These jeans are the best I’ve ever owned. Comfortable to wear, just right in the leg i.e. not too baggy or too tight. I’ve worn them Winter and Summer and they are always comfortable and look good.
Now own three pairs in the dark blue and black. Tried and returned the lighter blue as they didn’t suit me.
I know that fit is a personal thing as we are all different shapes. I’m quite thin with a 32waist and these are just right for me.
I have the 34 short in the Nordic jeans and older classic jeans, they both fit fine. These were too big. I will be returning them, I thought about trying the next size down, but ordered another pair of Nordic jeans instead bearing in mind winter is approaching and I did not have time go through another round of returns if the 32inch waist size was too small.
I take a 36 waist and short leg and I have to say that my black Advance jeans are far more comfortable than the other denims that Rohan produce. Slightly easier fir all round.
Like another reviewer I am put off Rohan trousers because they are all like 50s drainpipe trousers - too tight and not at all comfortable. I still have some old Rohan trousers - can't recall the name - from 10 years ago and they have baggy legs, loose fitting and are better than anything they see to produce now other than the Advance jeans which are still a bit too tight in the leg.
Is it fashion Rohan or is it economical cutting of the cloth?
Really delighted with these Jeans. Great fit, excellent quality and the extra touches such as the hidden secure pocket is a great idea. Have washed very well and I'll be getting a second pair soon. Yet another great Rohan product, thank you.
I normally take a size 36 short but they were far too baggy around the waist. The 34 waist fitted very well in that area but after wearing them for a while I found they were far too ‘snug’ in the crotch area. Theses are not jeans that I would like to travel in for any period of time. Not so long ago I also had to return some Newtown Chinos because of fitting issues. Is Rohan aiming to change its traditional format of comfort and functionality in favour of modern style and trendiness?
I am a long-standing loyal Rohan customer. I bought the Advance jeans this week because my 15 yrs jeans have finally given up. I have 3 more but thought that I would take advantage of the offer to stock up.
All my previous jeans have been Classic. Great fit, tough and light. Great product.
Then the Classic was retired. Like BR toast because it was too good presumably.
The new Advance jeans aren’t bad. You certainly get a lot of denim. Very heavy. Strange elastic waist fit that is disappointing unless you buy your stuff from Saga. I really can’t understand what direction Rohan are going.
I am a fit 60+. These are too old for me. I like the old gear but this is just weird.
Really comfortable nicely cut jeans.
They are indeed a little warmer in winter. I’m looking forward to seeing if they are also a little cooler in summer.
Fit is poor and colour is deep and looks nice but rubs off on your hands and furniture. This is after several washes... poor quality and poor value for money.
You have a choice of Black or Almost Black (although its official description is Dark Denim). Much to my regret only with a close inspection under a bright light does the denim weave become apparent. Otherwise as a winter weight jean it would fit the bill.
I really wanted a replacement for my Classic jeans (and I like the extra belt loops) but the Advance Jean is not it so they have been returned.
Bought these jeans as I needed something a little thicker, for the Autumn, than my normal classic jeans of which I now have three pairs. Having been a Levi buyer for many years I am now covered to Rohan jeans as they are streets ahead of Levis. These Advance jeans are really comfortable, smart, durable, and the dry much quicker if they get damp. Pricey? Well more than some makes, but worth the extra money.
Really pleased to find a pair of these jeans with seven belt loops, I find them much more comfortable that those with only five. I hope all your jeans will be this way from now on.
Good quality, well tailored jeans. Extremely comfortable in stretchable fabric. I usually need waist 33in (and have 34in Rohan bags and chinos) but the 34 in this style was too big (baggy upper thighs/groin) and 32 just right with comfortable fit - the stretch allows for some give in waist. Slight narrowing in leg gives more modern style and not a baggy standard leg, certainly these are NOT tight narrow leg jeans. I keep on finding pockets but as well as the standard pockets you have a secret zipped back pocket ideal for cash and a secret additional front pocket with velcro cover, probably for coins. Weight is of a standard weight jean, so far not tested washing or drying time. Keeps shape and do not crease. Very pleased so far. Look very smart. Price very reasonable for comparative products.
