When moving through the hills, you need trousers that can keep up with your adventures. The combination of 2-way stretch and a durable ripstop fabric carefully placed at the knee and seat ensure that the Vela Trousers can handle whatever your adventures throw at them.
To protect you from the elements in the warmer months, these trousers feature a Durable Water Repellency finish offering resistance to light showers, and UPF40+ sun protection technology to shield you from the harmful effects of UV rays.
Boasting an extremely small pack size, these trousers are ideal for multi-day adventures where carry space is limited. If the weather changes and you get caught in a downpour, the Vela Trousers will fully dry in just 2 hours. This also means that if you wanted to rinse them out in a stream when out on the hills , they can be dried and ready to go in no time.
A secure zipped pocket located on each thigh provides security for your essentials while the double snap front combined with a soft elastic waistband provides comfort and ease of wear.

Our DWR finish is an advanced treatment which dramatically increases the water repellency of our fabrics. On its own, it offers a useful level of shower resistance; used in conjunction with our Barricade technology, it reduces the tendency of the face fabric to wet out and maximizes breathability.

Sun Protection UPF 40+
This garment has been tested in accordance with recognised international standards for ultraviolet radiation protection – and has been awarded a rating of UPF 40+. The protection offered may be significantly reduced with extended wear or if the garment is stretched or wet. Any associated UV risks will vary according to individual skin type or medical history.
