The Full Story
Made with our MultiFlex Light two way stretch fabric, our Roamers are still our most comfortable walking trousers.
They’re made from the same sophisticated blend of polyamide and elastane making them tough, stretchy, wind-resistant and light. They’ve also got Dynamic Moisture Control™ for high-wicking breathability and an internal elasticated waist for unrivalled comfort.
As always, they’ve got a nice understated appearance, but now we’ve gone a step further by removing the knee seam and softening the edges of the pockets to give them a cleaner look and a more comfortable feel. They’ll go the distance on the toughest treks, whilst not looking or feeling out of place when you’re bobbing around town or enjoying a meal in a country pub.
We’ve also added thoughtful features that will enhance your comfort and keep them looking nicer for longer. We’ve adjusted the belt loops to fit wider belts, as well as the zipped security pocket hidden within the front pocket to make it easier to access. To keep your Roamers looking their best, we’ve added anti-scuff tape to the hem to reduce wear and tear on tough treks.
Our Roamers are still the same comfortable and versatile walking trousers you know and love. They’re still perfect for year-round comfort. If you’re walking in Britain from spring through to autumn, you’d be hard pressed to find a better choice. And, if you’re wearing them in the high summer, you’ll be pleased to know they still offer UPF 40+ Sun Protection*.
*A Note on Sun Protection

This might be too many but one pair has been patched at the knee after a fall and another is only really fit for gardening these days. They are so comfortable to wear, great for autumn through to spring for everything from night's out (my smart black pair) to cycling and hiking. I like the side zipped pocket and the zipped pocket at the waist (although on the new design this is harder to use). The new colours are great and I now own purple Roamers! They come in three leg sizes and as a woman who is only 161cm tall the short are just about okay - really 0.5cm shorter would be better and stop them dipping in to puddles.3 people found this review helpful. Was this review helpful?5 months agoWomen's Roamers Trousers Slate GreyGreat fit, and beautifully soft and kind to the skin.1 person found this review helpful. Was this review helpful?5 months agoWomen's Roamers Trousers True NavyPerfect for everyday wear and for playing golf, wash and wear withing such a short time.1 person found this review helpful. Was this review helpful?6 months agoWomen's Roamers Trousers Heather BlueAs always these Roamers are excellent, fantastic value for money..1 person found this review helpful. Was this review helpful?6 months agoWomen's Roamers Trousers Cumbria BlueSize too large for me1 person found this review helpful. Was this review helpful?6 months agoWomen's Roamers Trousers Venice GreenLovely quality, lightweight, comfortable trouser. DMC is a wicking technology that rapidly spreads the moisture our bodies create across the surface area of a garment. This can be achieved through the technical construction of the garment or by a performance coating and ensures that the garment dries more quickly, encourages evaporative heat loss and helps you stay cooler and more comfortable for longer.

Losing possessions when you’re close to home is frustrating, but losing your car keys, passport, phone or wallet while you’re travelling can really spoil your adventure. That’s why we put lots of thought into developing safer pockets – deeper, zipped and hidden.
