Warm, waterproof and with five pockets, the Men’s Aran Jacket is a protective winter coat with plenty of space to safely store your daytrip essentials.
This insulated jacket is the perfect addition to any cold weather adventures, from windy winter walks along the beach to days spent exploring cobbled city streets in rainy weather. It’s fully lined with lightweight, synthetic Insuloft wadded insulation, providing long-lasting and superior warmth that doesn’t lose any heat when it gets wet, perfect for active adventuring or the cold, damp conditions that are the hallmarks of British winter. Insuloft is tough, it re-lofts quickly after being compressed and maintains its loft through use and wear.
The Aran Jacket will keep you warm in icy temperatures, and our 2-Layer Barricade Standard technology makes it waterproof, windproof and breathable too. The 2-Layer construction means the waterproof fabric has two layers bonded together – a water-repellent outer and a PU hydrophilic membrane – so you can stay cosy even on long days out in the pouring rain.
Five pockets keep your valuables safe and your hands warm. Two lower zipped pockets are protected by flaps and secured by poppers, the internal zipped pocket is the perfect place to store your phone or keys, and two upper pockets are lined with a soft brushed fleece for added comfort and a touch of luxury.

Durable Water Repellency
Our DWR finish is an advanced treatment which dramatically increases the water repellency of our fabrics. On its own, it offers a useful level of shower resistance; used in conjunction with our Barricade technology, it reduces the tendency of the face fabric to wet out and maximizes breathability.

2-Layer Barricade
The Barricade standard gives you reassurance of a high level of waterproof protection. All of our waterproofs must meet our Barricade Standard to be ten times the British standard for waterproofing.
The waterproof fabric of the garment has two layers. The water-repellent outer fabric and the PU hydrophilic membrane are bonded together. In addition, a loose lining protects the membrane from the inside.

Insuloft
Insuloft is an advanced synthetic wadding that offers a better warmth-to-weight ratio than polyester fleece and better performance when wet than conventional down. It’s durable, compressible, lightweight, easy to wash and fast drying – it’s the perfect choice for cold-weather protection.
