    The Dry Ranger Trousers look like a regular pair of cargo trousers – comfortable, practical and with lots of pockets to hold all the small items you need for your adventures – but they’re waterproof. We’ve added weatherproof innovation with our Barricade Standard waterproof Drop Liner, to keep you protected from stormy weather.

    Whether you’re walking the dogs through fields of long grass in the rain, or wandering forest trails in unpredictable weather, these trousers are a great addition to your outdoor wardrobe, with our Barricade Standard Drop Liner making them waterproof, windproof and breathable. This construction means that the waterproof, internal lining of the Dry Ranger Trousers is attached to the waist seam and ‘dropped’ to the bottom of the legs, while taped seams stop any water from leaking through.

    The outer fabric of the Dry Ranger Trousers has added stretch, for total freedom of movement as you move from the hills to the pub. It’s also been coated with a Durable Water Repellency finish, to protect the garment from wetting out. This finish forces water droplets to bead up and roll off the fabric, stopping them from soaking through. When they’re put together, our Barricade Standard technology keeps you dry while Durable Water Repellency protects the garment from getting wet, so you can get on with your adventures no matter the weather.  

    All 5 pockets are covered by welts to keep water out, with 3 of these being zipped secure pockets that will keep your valuables safe. The 2 main side pockets are dry lined, providing extra protection for your essentials in the pouring rain.

    At the waistband, a webbing belt, an offset dual snap waist opening and elasticated side panels allow for a comfortable and customisable fit. On the legs, a diamond-shaped gusset on the inside leg enhances comfort and hem scuff tape protects the fabric and increases the longevity of these hard-wearing, protective outdoor trousers.

Packable - Pack Size 1600ml

Low pack size is a benefit whether you’re packing for a day’s walking or for the trip of a lifetime. We continually scrutinise fabric specification and garment construction to minimise the packed size of our clothing. The actual pack size is tested and listed.

Fast Drying - Drying Time 10 hours

All Rohan clothing is designed to be very fast drying – as much a benefit for unexpected downpours as anything else. It’s easy to wash and often needs no ironing. Almost all garments will dry overnight, meaning you can take less with you. We test every item and list its drying time.

  • Durable Water Repellency

    Our DWR finish is an advanced treatment which dramatically increases the water repellency of our fabrics. On its own, it offers a useful level of shower resistance; used in conjunction with our Barricade technology, it reduces the tendency of the face fabric to wet out and maximizes breathability.

  • Drop-Liner Barricade

    The Barricade standard gives you reassurance of a high level of waterproof protection. All of our waterproofs must meet our Barricade Standard to be ten times the British standard for waterproofing.

    The garment has a non-waterproof outer fabric with a waterproof inner fabric that is stitched to the garment. These waterproof walking trousers can look just like your regular trousers.

    Losing possessions when you’re close to home is frustrating, but losing your car keys, passport, phone or wallet while you’re travelling can really spoil your adventure. That’s why we put lots of thought into developing safer pockets – deeper, zipped and hidden.
