Designed with sheet insulation throughout, the recycled, synthetic Insuloft insulation in our fully lined Women’s Newport Jacket will keep you comfortable and cosy on the coldest winter days.
When the rain starts pouring, our 2-Layer Barricade Standard technology means you’ll experience breathable, windproof and waterproof wet-weather protection. The Durable Water Repellency finish caused water droplets to bead up and roll off the face fabric of this jacket, keeping you completely shielded from the elements and free to explore a town you’ve never visited before, no matter the weather.
Three zipped security pockets will keep your essentials safe and close by, and the tri-ring in the inside chest pocket has been added to keep small valuables, like your keys, secure. Aquaguard™ zips on the two hand pockets provide an extra layer of protection, and grosgrain pullers mean you can access your pockets easily even when you’re wearing thick winter gloves.
Hidden but considered features have been added to the Newport Jacket to trap warmth when the temperature drops. The soft, internal collar and cuffs, and a brushed lining inside the two external pockets, will keep you cosy, and when the wind picks up you can use the single point adjustment on the insulated hood to secure the fit around your face. If you’re caught in a downpour, a hang loop at the back of the neck means you can easily hang your Newport Jacket up to dry as soon as you get home.
The matte, textured herringbone look of this cosy waterproof adds a touch of smart style to the durable outer fabric. Durable Water Repellency
Our DWR finish is an advanced treatment which dramatically increases the water repellency of our fabrics. On its own, it offers a useful level of shower resistance; used in conjunction with our Barricade technology, it reduces the tendency of the face fabric to wet out and maximizes breathability.

2-Layer Barricade
The Barricade standard gives you reassurance of a high level of waterproof protection. All of our waterproofs must meet our Barricade Standard to be ten times the British standard for waterproofing.
The waterproof fabric of the garment has two layers. The water-repellent outer fabric and the PU hydrophilic membrane are bonded together. In addition, a loose lining protects the membrane from the inside.

Insuloft is an advanced synthetic wadding that offers a better warmth-to-weight ratio than polyester fleece and better performance when wet than conventional down. It’s durable, compressible, lightweight, easy to wash and fast drying – it’s the perfect choice for cold-weather protection.
